Would be a nice project...
This is in Redcar near where i live. It's a sound mirror built to detect german zeppelins approaching. The sound was reflected off the mirror into a 'special trumpet' which was attached to a sort of stethescope where an operator would be listening.

Can you listen into all the houses on the estate?
