Hole in the Road 82

Filled in to make way for the Supertram, Sheffield's 'Hole in the Road' was a popular, if slightly dingy and smelly, local landmark. Here it serves as a shelter for old boys, a repository for unsavoury grafitti and an orbiting point for Reliant Robins.

  1. Nice. Reminiscent of the old Bull Ring, aka Cardboard City, next to Waterloo Station, though with less rough sleepers; now an Imax cinema.

  2. The Hole in the Road is now a circular Super Tram stop with a Greek take away food kiosk on it!
