Filled in to make way for the Supertram, Sheffield's 'Hole in the Road' was a popular, if slightly dingy and smelly, local landmark. Here it serves as a shelter for old boys, a repository for unsavoury grafitti and an orbiting point for Reliant Robins.

Nice. Reminiscent of the old Bull Ring, aka Cardboard City, next to Waterloo Station, though with less rough sleepers; now an Imax cinema.
ReplyDeleteThe Hole in the Road is now a circular Super Tram stop with a Greek take away food kiosk on it!
