A Sound British Adventure
Just a heads up to let you all know that on Radio 4 today comedian Stewart Lee presented a program called A Sound British Adventure. The program is basically about early British pioneers in electronic music. Tristram Cary, Peter Zinovieff, Daphne Oram Brian Hodgson are all featured. Brian Hodgson tells us about 1960s experimental and electronic festivals, including The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave (1967) at which The Beatles' electronic piece Carnival Of Light had its only public airing. The program can also be heard here.
